Pongal 2025 Celebration at Ela Green School A Day of Tradition and Togetherness

The celebration of Pongal at Ela Green School was more than just an event, it was a loving homage to the most revered harvest festival of Tamil Nadu. The campus was invigorated with multi-folds of diverse skyscapes, along with the beats of community celebrations and joy that encapsulates the spirit of gratitude and unity that Pongal so dearly represents.



A Day of Cultural Splendor

Every dance performance was joyous and festive, bursting with great traditional enthusiasm along with Nepalese grace because they were homage to the harvest season. The students skillfully mesmerized the audience with their moves and danced proudly celebrating the importance of Pongal festival. But the juiciest of all were the karagattam performers who completely had the crowd spellbound while expertly balancing pots placed atop their heads while enjoying a sip of juice.



Games and Traditions: More Than Just Fun

The traditional games brought along columns of excitement alongside laughter and yes some sore backs albeit along with keeping the reality in perspective. But those sore backs did serve as a reminder for everyone why these customs must be preserved not just paid token homage to. They serve as a reminder to our set heritage and a challenge for them to us to preserve them for the generations that are to come.



Alluring Taste Buds

At the heart of the celebration was the Pongal feast. The smell of the freshly cooked pongal danced its way around, bringing laughter and joy to every face. It was a warm reminder of the festival’s true value- gratitude for the harvest & bounties of nature.

As a way of furthering our dedication to protecting our children, we recently had an important meeting on the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act.
