🎃 Trick or Teach? You Already Know It Was Both!

This October, Halloween festivities at ELA Green School were extraordinary! The Halloween magic transformed our vibrant campus into a chaotic runway filled with creativity. ELA Green isn’t just an IB School in Chennai, but a community where learning and Halloween joy are celebrated in creativity and togetherness.

Slayed the scene. Screamed the scene. The magic of Halloween transformed our vibrant campus and community. The students’ imagination was spectacular, and the creativity was phenomenal! The laughter was a bewitching spell, the spooky anticipation was a jolt of energy, and the ambiance was sheer Halloween ecstasy!

🎭 A Celebration of Creativity and Confidence

At Halloween time, learning is elementary! It was an ideal day to combine the three elements of inquiry, expression, and exploration and celebrate with “Trick or Teach”! As an ELA Green IB PYP School in Vandalur, our Halloween “Trick or Teach” celebration was learning in action. It was the perfect example of creatively fueling confidence!

Students took center stage for Halloween, showing off their costumes while walking, twirling, and giggling down the "corridor catwalk." From our youngest PYP students proudly wearing their made costumes to our older students designing characters for the costumes that showcased their individuality, every single minute was a wonderful lesson on imagination, teamwork, and self-communication.

🧙♀️ Where Fun Meets Learning

Halloween at ELA Green is more than just Halloween costumes and sweets; it is also Halloween curiosity, stories, and culture education. Teachers, just like the students, were really excited, and they performed imaginative classroom tasks that integrated fun and active learning. Be it writing spooky stories, learning the science of illusions, or digging into the history of Halloween around the world, students discovered that even the frightful tales have powerful messages.

That’s the beauty of being an International School in Chengalpattu. Every holiday becomes an opportunity to engage with varying cultures, traditions, and worldviews. Our Halloween celebration was not just a celebration; it was a multicultural venture, remembering to appreciate our costumes, crafts, and Halloween-derived creativity.

🦸♂️ Community Spirit at Its Best

The spirit of ELA Green is epitomized when students, teachers, and parents join forces. The “Trick or Teach” event was a celebration of community — a reminder that education is best promoted in a joyful and inclusive atmosphere. Parents partook in the merriment, teachers fully embraced the theme, and the whole campus was alive with laughter and anticipation.

This event reinforced one of the pillars of our philosophy — the importance of emotional health and creativity alongside academic learning. When students are allowed Halloween-themed self-expression, it fosters a community of confident and open-minded learners ready to face the world (or any Halloween monster!)

👻 Because at ELA Green, Halloween Isn’t Just a Day — It’s a Mood

Every ELA Green student fully embraced the spirit of Halloween with spells, heroics, and ghoulish fun. The magic of Halloween is captured in the laughter, costumes, and memories we created together.

At ELA Green, we don’t merely trick or teach — we accomplish both, and we do it in style.
