  On 15th August 2025 the ELA Green School, Maraimalainagar’s premier IB institution, marked the 79th Independence Day of India in the spirit of grace and solidarity that has come to define its annual observance. The campus buzzed with song, dance, and the fragrance of marigold and jasmine wreaths, freshly woven by our children, as flags of every saffron, white, and green hue rippled in the emerging sunlight. At Ela Green School, extreme importance is given to the complete development of a child's personality to help them grow not only mentally but physically and emotionally as well. Recently, our PYP 2 participants were part of a life affirming yoga session which exhibited their excitement, confidence and leadership qualities. A group of young learners who volunteered for the class were sent to lead the sessions. They assisted their classmates with warm up drills and then carefully illustrated how they were to perform the various asanas. The students of EYP 2 celebrated Rakshabandhan, a festival that stands for love, care, and protection between siblings. At Ela Green School , this day provided an avenue for our young students to have a taste of what friendship, love, and unity are all about, as depicted in the occasion. A Heartwarming Celebration On that note, the EYP2 students marked Rakshabandhan by tying traditional Rakhis not only around the wrists of their siblings but also around those of their classmates.
