Joyful Emoji Day Celebration at ELA Green School: A Bright Representation of Feeling and Creativity

 


At ELA Green School, we focus on the holistic development of our learners, which includes the cultivation of emotional intelligence, creativity, and a sense of joy alongside academic achievement. A wonderful demonstration of this philosophy in action was the recently celebrated Emoji Day, and the credit goes to our EYP (Early Years Programme) team, whose unparalleled commitment transformed the day into a wonderful celebration of laughter, learning, and individual expression.

The entire event consisted of fun activities as well as meticulous planning. We especially thank the entire EYP team for the creativity and enthusiasm in planning the day. Activities such as classroom activities and the fun-filled emoji parade where students dress as their favorite emoji, added a lot of color and joy to the day. All in attendance can agree that that was a remarkable day.


The emoji freeze dance, where young one dance their hearts out to their favorite tunes while striking freeze and pose of the emoji, was the most celebrated. The control the participants had over their movements and the energy is unrivaled. This was closely followed, of courses, with the emoji ball sorting, an activity that entertained the kiddies while teaching them about sorting and categorizing using colors, did in a very fun and playful manner.

The integration of learning and joy is what makes this day so memorable. Children learned and explored their emotions through visual and tactile means using emojis and face-painting, storytelling through emojis, as well as drawing. As a proud IB PYP school in Vandalur, the laughter and delight of discovering new things fuel the joy of learning, which makes ELA Green truly one of the Best Schools in Maraimalainagar.

The students were so elated, and those smiles told a powerful story. The entire day was a celebration for the students, and as active participants they were able to demonstrate, explore, and experience joy. In addition, the parents and educators along with the staff contributed to a joyful and welcoming energy to the entire campus.

Once again, I’d like to appreciate the EYP team for the success of Emoji Day. Planning together with the team at EYP, especially with the EYP team brought such joy and smiles to our community on Emoji Day. And with them, I look forward to the many more celebrations which we will blend learning with joy and creativity with compassion.

I hope and I know that at ELA Green, we don’t only teach, we are at the forefront of inspiring our students, our community and even the world. Through our emoji day, we had the chance to embrace all emotions, smiles, and connections which we savor to the fullest.
