Ela Green School: Expounding the Great Ideals of the Preamble

As simple as sharing thoughts on social networking sites or making a vote count at the election box, there are certain entitlements that people seem to enjoy in one way or another, as a person in the society. The rights provided in this founding document of В-lndia which was adopted on the 26th of November 1 949, are in principal and core a person’s sovereignty, and freedom, and or justice. It consolidates the principles that underlie our democracy as a land.

At this particular year when India  r fifty celebrates the 75th birthday of its Constitution, Ela Green School felt privileged to be among the first schools in Tamil Nadu to host the Preamble Reading Session: normally, the proponent was the Chief Minister of the State, His Excellency Mr. M.K. Stalin. The purpose of this activity was to broaden appreciation of students for constitutional values and to underscore the significance of such values in the conduct of their affairs.

Raising the Profile of Our Constitutional Values, the Preamble Reading and Writing on Constitution Day

The Preamble Reading and Writing on Constitution Day began much earlier than expected; it began enough for us to appreciate what it means to have a gun. It should be said that people sincerely appreciate the feeling of solidarity. Students and teachers together remembered the most important milestones that shaped India’s success through other difficulties and challenges.

This project is consistent with the task of the Ela Green School which is to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge to be responsible global citizens. Moreover, being one of the Best IB Schools in Chennai, the institution incorporates such values in its education system whereby students not only perform highly in the academics but also transform into well-rounded individuals with a conscience.

A Platform for Holistic Learning

Attention is paid to the development of critical thinking, self-conscientiousness and empathy in students at Ela Green School. Students’ comprehension of the rights and responsibilities bestowed on them is evident in activities like Preamble Reading Session which reflect the school’s philosophy.

In this context, Ela Green School inspires the students explaining them that each and every human being has a role in protecting all the democratic values and construct a peaceful society.

Conclusion
